Tri City Storm: Playoff bound?
Last Friday I did a story on the Tri City Storm fighting to get into the last playoff spot in the USHL western conference. Well, since that time Josh Hauge's squad moved into the sixth and final spot in the playoffs and are just a point behind Sioux City for fifth.
In their last 18 games Tri-City is 12 and six playing great hockey to move themselves into the playoffs something they have been working for since Hauge took over for fired coach Drew Schinick. Just last weekend Tri-City picked up two huge wins over Fargo as they begin to gain momentum heading into the end of the season. It may be fun but fulfilling the goal of reaching the playoffs will be difficult as the Storm play just three of eight remaining games at home and besides playing Sioux Falls twice every other game will be against a team already in the playoffs.
