Last season they made the playoffs by one point over the Sioux City Musketeers, only to be eliminated by Omaha in the first round. Thursday on the eve of their season opener against Lincoln, the Tri–City Storm unveil their team captains and talk about their chances for this season.
This years' captain and also the longest tenured Storm skater is defenseman Rick Pinkston.
Rick and the assistant captains there can't wait to take the ice tomorrow against the Stars.
The Storm will have to pick it up offensively after losing last years' league scoring champion Jaden Schwartz.
Coach Schoneck said the scoring may be more spread out this year.
The Tri–City Storm have three goalies on the roster to start the season, but they lost Carson Chubak who started 50 games for them last year.
Steven Bolton with 20 starts last season looks to be the guy; the team though is still not sure who will start Friday night.
The Storm are at home tomorrow against Lincoln, then Omaha comes to Kearney on Saturday.
