Tri-City Storm head coach and General Manager Drew Schoeneck and his staff met Monday in the "war room" at the Viaero Events Center for the USHL entry draft.

The Storm drafted 15 players, including their first choice Thomas Nykopp who played this season for the Ohio Blue Jackets Under 18 team.

He is 18 years old, a native of Helsinki, Finland and scored 26 goals for his Blue Jackets team this season.

The Storm picked Defenseman Dylan Maller of the DC Capitals in the 3rd round and had four draft choices in the 4th round.

Team owner Kirk Brooks also added coach Schoeneck will be offered a contract extension in the near future.
