With 25 regular season games left, the Tri-City Storm still has time to claim that sixth and final playoff spot. Though they're in 8th and last palce, theya re only two points out of sixth.

For the Storm players. That would be nice, but the mission of this league is never lost on anyone.

The USHL website proudly proclaims it has sent 240 players on to earn college scholarships and no less than 164 alumni in the NHL.

Such former Storm players as Bill Thomas and Christian Hansen are among those that have played in the National Hockey League.

Storm leading scorer Nick Lappin, heading for Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, Brown, thanks the USHL for his opportunity to come.

Brian was to play college hockey at Dartmouth University, but recently left the school to return to the Storm. He plans on transferring to another college to play hockey next season. Look for much of if not most of the Storm roster to go onto college.
