Tri-City Storm get ready for deciding game

A victory tonight by the Tri-City Storm over the Lincoln Stars and a Des Moines Buccaneer loss to the Cedar Rapids Roughriders clinches that much coveted playoff spot for the Storm.

The Storm skate tonight at the "Ice Box" against the Lincoln Stars before returning home Saturday night for the regular season's final home contest.

With a five point lead over the 7th place Buccaneers, the Storm is on the verge of clinching a spot in the best of 3 first round the week after next, but know they still have work to do.

If they make the playoffs, the Storm could meet the Stars in the first round, but they also could face Waterloo or Fargo in the best of three.
News 5's Kyle Thomas will back at the Ice Box Friday night to see the game and we'll have highlights tonight on News 5 at 10.
