With seven games remaining in the regular season, the Tri-City Storm finds itself 5 points out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the USHL west.

Both Friday night's opponent the Sioux City Muskateers and the Des Moines Buccaneers are ahead of the Storm in the standings by those five points.
