UNK coach shares thoughts on Olympian Dlagnev

It was pandemonium last month at the US Olympic Trials as former UNK Loper Tervel Dlagnev won the heavyweight championship and will go for the gold in London.

Tervel's college coach Marc Bauer was in Iowa City to see these matches and will be in London when Tervel wrestles in August.
The former Loper heavyweight All-America joins former Husker wrestler Jordan Burrogh on the US team, both with great chances to win gold.

If that happens, what a great year it will have been for Loper wrestling having secured the National Championship a few weeks before Tervel won these matches.

Coach Bauer told me he likes Tervel's chances in London.

Coach Bauer said he believes Tervel will pay a visit to Kearney and be back on Campus June 25th long before he will go to London.

Of course, all of Tervel's matches in the 2012 Olympic Games and all of the games will be seen here on NBC starting with the opening Ceremonies July 27th all the way thru until August 12th.
