UNK Lopers say hello to new conference

Last July 1st will never be forgotten by Nebraska fans. It is the day the Huskers officially joined the Big 10 Conference. This year, another Nebraska school will switch conferences this July 1st.

The UNK Lopers are set to leave the Rocky Mountain Athletic conference to join the MIAA on that date.

It means such schools as Ft. Hays State and Northwest Missouri will be on future schedules.

Starting Monday night in Minden, Loper Athletic Director Jon McBride and a number of coaches begin a five city tour over the next 10 days to meet fans and talk about the future.

They'll be coming to town near you.
