New developments tonight in the Friday shooting death a Hastings 4 year-old. The boy's nine year-old brother has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

The Adams County Attorney's Office says the nine year-old allegedly shot and killed Beau Pecor. His name is not being released because of his age. Authorities do *not* believe the shooting was accidental.

County Attorney Donna Fegler Daiss says a juvenile petition has now been filed. It alleges one count of manslaughter.

The boy is currently under the care of the Department of Health and Human Services. Daiss says authorities are investigating prior incidents that may have occurred in the home.

"Yes we received information that in the past there have been some incidents that would cause us concern."

On Friday, Beau sustained a gunshot wound in the head from a .22 caliber rifle. The gun belongs to the boyfriend of Beau's mother.
