72 floats rolled through Hastings this morning for the official kick off of the 2014 Adams County Fairfest.
The parade started at 10 am through downtown Hastings, with everything from corvettes, to classic cars and even horses.
An after party was held at the Masonic Temple on 4th street.
Organizer, Sandy Himmelberg said they added new family friendly activities this year like a water balloon toss and pie eating contest.
She says this is a great way to get the fair started.
"I enjoy doing it. I enjoy seeing all the people that are in the parade it's a good way of letting everybody know we're here." Said Sandy Himmelberg, Manager of Adams County Fairgrounds.
The Fairfest lineup begins Wednesday with opening ceremonies at 5 o'clock.
It runs through July 21st.
