Media reports have indicated the number of Nebraskans who have signed up for healthcare through marketplace navigators adds up to zero.
But one navigator told News 5 that's not the case here in Central Nebraska.
Heidi Zoellner is one of the few certified healthcare navigators in Nebraska-- serving both Kearney and Hastings.
She called the first week of the marketplace horrible-- adding she could get people through the login but was unable to sign up for plans.
Zoellner has made due and has since signed up only a handful of people through the marketplace's paper applications and the 800 phone number.
But what about Grand Island?
Executive Director of Central Nebraska Community Services Jose Zapata said their navigator just went through the certification process.
She will soon be navigating their head start and early start families through the marketplace.
