Many of us have had the opportunity to visit the new Pinnacle Bank Arena at least once and some of us multiple times...

All of us that have been there have seen that the new venue is very impressive.

The new home of the Huskers is the subject of this week's News 5 Aurora Cooperative Five Star Performance...

Nebraska defeats Wisconsin, the crowd storms the court, the signature moment so far for the new Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Certainly moments like this are ahead for many decades here. Open now just a few months, the arena is a different place, has a different feel, a state of the art arena that has for instance a TV monitor in the lobby broadcasting the action on the floor, an escalator to get to the upper seating, a place similar to other big time areans in bigger cities.

O yeah, yeah definatley feels like a big time arena like you're at the Sprint Center in Kansas City or here, feels more like a pro arena

Costing 179 million to build, construction started in November of 2011 finished in time for this year's Nebraska State high school basketball championship games where this years players knew it's a thrill for them to be among the first to play here.

After last year we figured out it was being built, we kind of toward we'll be playing there next year, today we're like guys, we're playing here and walking in and having them dim the lights for introductions and stuff it was pretty crazy–definitely the coolest arena I've played in and probably the college arena I've ever played in so it was really cool, something I'll never forget.

Add such acts as Cher, Elton John and Larry the Cable Guy and you know this arena is as good as it gets.

I'm this is my 1st time being here, I think it's a pretty cool place, the atmosphere is big, I've been looking forward to this for awhile now and I think it's pretty cool.

The day after tomorrow this place will be hopping again, like it was Sunday when the Huskers received their NCAA bid.

Fans will be here to watch TV as the Huskers play Baylor in San Antonio, so if you can't be in the Alamo City to see the game in person, it seems the Pinnacle Bank Arena, home of the Huskrs would be the next best place to be.
