The Nebraska State Patrol continues its investigation today into the fatal crash at a rest stop on Interstate 80 near Kearney.

The accident happened just after 8 AM yesterday. Authorities say a Chevrolet Venture van driven by 27 year old Maurice Lewis of Chicago was traveling eastbound on I-80 when the van left the roadway and ran into a semi parked at the rest area.

Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in that van, a 48 year old Arizona man and a 22 year old Missouri man, were taken to Kearney's Good Samaritan Hospital for their injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined a cause for the crash.
