Barbara K. Luebs was born January 26, 1940 in Eustis, Nebraska the daughter of Herman & Jeannette (Axtell) Weissert. She received her early education in Eustis graduating from Eustis High School. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan, Barb was a flight attendant for Frontier Airlines before marrying Jon Luebs in Eustis Nebraska. The couple made their home in Grand Island, where she settled into her true profession of raising a family. Once her children were grown, Barb worked part time at The Farmer's Daughter Cafe. This allowed her to be around people and socialize, which she loved! Barb spent the last 25 years with her special friend Gus Camp, whose love and support has proven endless.

Her spirit is carried on by her two daughters and son-in-law, Allyson Cahill of Kearney NE, Jennifer and Chris Gnau of Topeka KS, as well as her granddaughter, Asia Cahill of Omaha NE, and Gus’s children, Tim Camp, Amy and Jon Boehle all of Wood River NE, and children Peyton and Kiplyn Classen, Bryce, Ryan, and Bowdyn Boehle.

The family thanks the wonderful caregivers at Good Samaritan Society in Wood River, and Asera Care Hospice in Grand Island.
