An 86 year old Beatrice man was killed yesterday afternoon by the small plane he was working on. John F. Cox was working on his experimental ultralight plane at the Beatrice Municipal Airport. Cox started the plane and left the throttle wide open, he was then run over by the plane and drug 120 feet until it struck another hanger.
Cox was taken to the Beatrice Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Beatrice Police Chief Bruce Lang says the FAA was contacted.
