Betty Joyce Ray, 71, of Alda died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at her home.
Memorial service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home. 
Betty was born January 13, 1943 to Elmer and Ruth Flint at the family home in Oconto, NE.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Ray; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Rich Kister of Fair Grove, Missouri; and sisters, Marilyn Cheever of Gothenburg and Mildred Engler of Lexington.
Those also left to cherish her memory include seven grandchildren, A.J., Tiffany, Alex and Adam Kister, Matt Gale, Christopher Wilson and Nicholas Wilson; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tamara Wilson.
Betty grew up and attended school in Oconto. She graduated from St. Cecilia’s High School in Hastings.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Mary’s. Betty loved her church and was devoted to her God. A gentle, loving, caring soul, Betty loved her daughters and her animals.
