Brother taken into custody for shooting death of Hastings boy

New information in the Friday shooting death of a Hastings boy. The boy's 9 year-old brother has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

The Adams County Attorney's Office says no formal charges have been filed at this time.

A funeral service was held Tuesday for 4 year-old Beau Pecor.

On Friday, he sustained a gunshot wound from a 22 caliber rifle. The rifle was found in a bedroom in the boy's home located in the 900 block of North Saunders.

Beau was transported to Mary Lanning Healthcare where he died. According to the Adams County Attorney, family members were home at the time of the incident.
