Central City has a new school board member. Tim Williams was appointed on Monday night by a 3-2 vote.

Williams replaces Kent Malm who was removed from the school board after losing a recall election.

The recall effort began shortly after Central City's high school football coach was fired.
But residents at the head of the effort say the recall wasn't based completely on that decision.

Williams is a farmer from Central City. He will take his seat as an official board member at the next meeting in March.
