It's always imperative that Nebraska keeps the best in-state football players, well, in state. Perhaps the biggest catch in last year's class was All-American Josh Banderas. The Lincoln Southwest product spurning suitors like Oregon and Kansas state to don the scarlet and cream and the young linebacker has been nothing but impressive so far in fall camp. "He's still got a long way to go. We're putting a lot on him. Throwing a lot at him. The thing that I'm most excited about Josh, we know he can run. He's physical. He's showing tremendous instincts for the position. It hasn't been too big for him. For somebody who plays mike linebacker and has to make a lot of calls, do a lot of things. We have put a lot on him. He's handled it extremely well," said Coach Bo Pelini. .
