Dorla “Dodie” Fullington Brooks, 70, of Central City, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. at United Methodist Church in Central City with C.J. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 28, from 4-7 P.M. at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be at a later date in the Bureau Cemetery by Pierce Chapel near Clarks.
Dorla was born on February 15, 1944 at home in Central City to Earl K. and Marian K. (Belle) Fullington. She grew up in the Central City area and attended school there. She graduated from Central City High School in 1962 and continued her education at Kearney State College. 
She was united in marriage to A. W. Brooks Jr. on March 1, 1965 in Lincoln, NE. The couple lived in Lincoln and then moved to Phoenix, AZ where they resided for most of their married life. Dorla was a stay at home mother and then worked as a bank teller. She married Kent Booth on March 17, 1979. 
Dodie was a member of the Lone Tree Book Club, P.E.O. Chapter AB, and “Dare” Bible Study. She enjoyed hearts, cats, and books, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. 
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, CDR Troy and Elyane Brooks of Pensacola, FL, daughter and son-in-law, Arizona and Kevin Brooks of Central City, NE, eight grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Maynard and Lois Fullington of Palmer, NE, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn “Kay” and John O’Meara of Seattle, WA; and Nancy and C. Richard Johnson of Central City, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
