Dave Domina is campaigning throughout the state this week.

He's the lone Democrat in the race for U-S Senate.

We caught up with Domina at a stop in Hastings Saturday.

He's a high profile attorney from Omaha.

He's known for representing Nebraska landowners in the fight against the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Domina told his audience at Hastings College that TransCanada claims it will cost $5.3 billion to put the pipeline in the ground, and they have no intention of taking it out when they're done.

"Nice and clean, brought in on trucks, crews to put it together, no foreign material laying inside of it when you're going to take it out, my gosh it's going to take 4, 5, 6 times as much to take it out." Said Domina.

He added that cost would be left to Nebraskans.

Domina says divided government is among the major issues he'd like to tackle.

Saying that partisanship is causing gridlock, but that he can help change that.
