Funeral Services for Dianna G. Isaacson will be conducted from the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jones officiating. Following the tradition funeral, cremation will take place and private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Dianna Gayle Isaacson, 71 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Bryan LGH-East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Dianna was born on September 18, 1942 in Alma, Nebraska, the eldest of five children born to Merle R. and Cleo R. (Pollett) Porter. Dianna received her primary education and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1961.
On October 9, 1960, she was united in marriage to Carol R. “Ike” Isaacson in Alma and to this union three children were born: Michele, Shane and Bret. The couple made their home in Holdrege.
Dianna was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Holdrege and the Powder Puff Card Club.
In later years, Dianna enjoyed attending dances in Hastings, Nebraska with special friends, Dean Berry and Charlie Baird.
Besides her husband, Ike and parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Beverly Hake; and brothers-in-law: Rudy Freeburg and Wayne Isaacson.
She leaves to mourn her passing; her daughter, Mikki Isaacson of Kenesaw, Nebraska; sons: Shane Isaacson of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Bret Isaacson of Kearney, Nebraska; six grandchildren: Megan Dardon, Michael King, Willow Isaacson, Riley Isaacson, Gretchen Isaacson and Piper Isaacson; four great-grandchildren: Gracyn Dardon, Cruz Dardon, Perry King and Tobey Roberts-King; three brothers: Jay Porter of Omaha, Nebraska, Alan Porter and his wife, Ella of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Craig Porter and his wife, Gail of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sister, Carmen Roy and her husband, Mike of Holiday, Texas; brothers-in-law: Jerry Isaacson and his wife, Betty of Oak Harbor, Washington and Warren Isaacson of Holdrege; sister-in-law, Shirley Isaacson of Everett, Washington; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Dianna’s honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
