It was a family affair at the Dubas Farm in Fullerton Sunday.

State Sen. Annette Dubas formally announced her gubernatorial candidacy with her husband, children and grandchildren by her side

There are now officially two democratic candidates in the 2014 race.

The six-year state senator knows she has a long road ahead of her as a democratic candidate in a predominately red state, but she said it's her legislative experience that will set her apart.

"As far as understanding what the issues are that we've been dealing with in the legislature," she said. "Whether it's the budget process, policy, how things work, how you bring people together to get things done.

Dubas said as she begins her statewide tour, she'll focus on property taxes and access to healthcare.
