Ask any ag producer what the biggest challenge facing the industry is and they'll give you the same answer. The younger generations are too disconnected from the farm.
Today at the Cattlemen's Classic, FFA students are working to change that.
Chapters from all across the state sent students to learn what it takes to keep the ag industry alive-- stressing the importance of getting the younger generations interested.
"Without us and if everybody else goes in to different profession and all sorts of things and nobody goes in agriculture, where is all the food going to come from? You're going to get more mass produced meats and you're not going to have much farm grown meats," said Chance Hersh.
Not only did the students have the chance to talk to ranchers, but also companies and businesses involved in the ag industry.
