Last week we took a look at Hastings' old ammunition depot.
Well just west of Grand Island is the former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant site.
City leaders hoped it would become a site for major industrial development.
Over the years thousands of acres of land turned into about 17–hundred acres after being bought out.
The Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation owns what's left.
President, Randy Gard said that's now only about 260 acres.
He says they plan to hold onto that land for industrial purposes.
Gard says something like a rail yard or...
Given the recent spike in wind energy...
A production plant for wind turbines.
But, for now those are just ideas.
