Frances Lorina (Kilchenmann) Dean, 90, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora, NE.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE with Pastor Wayne Oblender officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Shelton Cemetery in Shelton, NE. There will be no visitation; at her request cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Shelton, NE.

Frances was born September 24, 1923, to Herman and Augusta (Tietzen) Kilchenmann in Pilger, NE.

Frances attended rural school, St. John’s Lutheran Parochial School in Stanton, NE and graduated from Stanton High School. She furthered her education at Norfolk Junior College and Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, NE.

She taught at rural school in Stanton County and kindergarten and first grade in Shelton, NE.

She married Charles W. Dean on June 1, 1952, in Fremont, NE., where she was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Frances served as a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Stars of Sharon Club.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joan and husband Richard Majors of Sutton, NE; Joyce Clauson of Polk, NE; four grandchildren, Duston and wife Misty Clauson of Fairbury, NE; Jennifer Clauson of Aurora, NE; James and wife Nicole Majors of Overland Park, KS; Angela and huband Mike Menke of Lawrence, NE; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, four sisters and one brother.
