It's been over three years since a devastating earthquake struck Haiti...
but the country is still trying to pick up the pieces.
One local church is offering a helping hand.
Stillwater Fellowship in Nelson held a fundraiser today to support the cause.
They welcomed Pastor Astrel Vincent, a Haiti native.
He continues to face challenges in his country.
"People tend to forget but the need and desolation is still there. They need someone to continue to do something to get those people out of the situation they are in," said Vincent.
Vincent feeds 15–hundred Haiti children a day and raised 200–thousand dollars to build a school.
He has even taken twenty–four children into his own home.
