The United Pentecostal Church is coming together for the families of five Grand Island men killed in an Iowa accident this weekend.
The five men died Friday after police say the driver lost control of their vehicle while headed east bound on I-80. The vehicle then rolled the distance of more than four football fields.
Police say speed and alcohol were factors.
Two of the brothers, Alex Paz-Lobo and Jose Benjamin Hernandez were members of the church, while the others were visitors.
Now the church has set up a fund to help out victim's families.
"It's a really hard time and having for one of the family members here at church, two sons that they lost it's really, really hard on the mother. And no mother can understand that unless they're a mother. And the other families, of course, they're having a really hard time," said Zuleika Zumaya, United Pentecostal Church Secretary and daughter of Pastor Alejandro Zumaya.
Donations can be dropped off at the church at 360 N Walnut Avenue in Grand Island or to an account set up at Wells Fargo bank.
