Severe weather spoiled last night of American Legion baseball, but the area's two best teams were able to face each other tonight.

Let's go to Memorial Field in Kearney as Kearney Runza hosts GI Home Federal.

Kearney Runza down 2–0 in the first, but Matt Moore delivers a base hit to right,

Tyler King comes around to score and it's a 2–1 ballgame after one.

We move to the top of the 2nd, and Riley Baash is up there.

He rips one to the gap in leftcenter. This one will roll all the way to the wall, and Home Federal has a man at 2nd with no outs.

Then Seth Roburg bounces to 2nd, is retired at first as Baasch moves to 3rd.

Then Logan Greenwald lines one up the middle. It hits pitcher Peyton Pocock and rolls away.

The run scores, Payton stays in the game, Home Federal leads 3–1. They go onto a 7 to 2 win to stay unbeaten.
