Grand Island Central Catholic welcomed the addition of a horse and knight on the corner of 13th Street and Custer Avenue Friday afternoon.

The Bosselman Companies are donating the statue to the school.

The horse and knight came from a Settle Inn purchased by the Bosselman Companies and renovated into a Quality Inn.

"Some of the unique styles that came with the Settle Inn we wanted to find homes for and we saw the horse and knight and we thought what a better place to do is the home of the Knights, Grand Island Central Catholic." Said Dustin Lofing, Executive Director of Hospitality with Bosselman Companies.

"We're going to get our art club out here and they're going to re-paint it blue, columbia blue." Said Joseph O'Connor, Student Council President at GICC.

The Grand Island Central Catholic Superintendent, Steve Osborn says he hopes the knight will help bring attention to the school as people drive by.
