The Nebraska Department of Education released the 2013 graduation rates for state high schools this morning.
Nearly 89 percent of Nebraska seniors graduated last May. That's a 3 percent rise over rates in 20-11. Districts were ranked in comparison to one another by percentage of graduates. 70 schools tied for number one with a graduation rate of 98 percent or above. Among those at the top of the list: Blue Hill Public Schools, Aurora Public Schools, Red Cloud and Shelton Public Schools.
Hastings Adams Central ranked at 77th in the state with a grad rate of 97 point 5 percent. Grand Island Northwest came in at 115th with a rate of 94 point 6. Kearney Public Schools ranked 187 out of 226; Hastings, 191; and Grand Island Public Schools, 196.
