Three Grand Island residents are displaced after an afternoon fire left their home uninhabitable. Fire crews responded to a house fire around 3 pm at the 800 block of West 14th street and Clark Street.

Incident Commander Captain Scott Kuehl with the Grand Island Fire Department says the fire started on the porch and spread into the front room.

A man and his daughter were inside at the time, they made it out of the home. Another resident was outside. No injuries were reported.

There is smoke damage throughout the house. The home is not believed to be total loss, but it's uninhabitable at the present time.

The American Red Cross is assisting the residents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
