The Nebraska Department of Labor announced Friday the state's unemployment rate is up from last month. The jobless rate for July is at 3.6%, up .1% from June.
All three of the Tri-Cities saw a rise from June to July with Grand Island seeing the biggest jump. Grand Island's jobless rate rose from 3.5% in June to 5.8% in July. That number is now the highest in the state.
The unemployment rate in Hastings rose from 3.5% to 3.7%. The rate in Kearney is up from 2.9% in June to 3.1% in July.
