Gray and Excalibur buying Hoak, Prime stations for $342.5 million

Gray to Enter Five New Markets, Excalibur to Enter Four New Markets

Gray Television and Excalibur Broadcasting have agreed to acquire 15 television stations in 7 markets from Hoak Media and Parker Broadcasting. Excalibur has also agreed to acquire two television stations from Prime Cities Broadcasting. Gray and Excalibur will enter into shared services agreements in the Lincoln, Fargo, Bismarck, and Monroe markets upon completion of Excalibur's purchases.


Gray will acquire:

KPRY* ABC Sioux Falls, SD
KVLY NBC Fargo-Valley City, ND
KNOE CBS/CW Monroe- El Dorado, LA
KFYR NBC Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
KMOT* NBC Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
KUMV* NBC Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
KQCD* NBC Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
WMBB ABC Panama City, FL
KALB NBC/CBS Alexandria, LA
KREX CBS Grand Junction-Montrose, CO
KREY* CBS Grand Junction-Montrose, CO
KREG* CBS Grand Junction-Montrose, CO
KNOP NBC North Platte, NE
KIIT-LP FOX North Platte, NE
* satellite station

Because of regulatory requirements, Gray will sell Hoak’s television stations in the Panama City and Grand Junction markets.

Excalibur will acquire:

KXJB CBS Fargo-Valley City, ND
KAQY ABC Monroe-El Dorado, LA
KFQX FOX Grand Junction-Montrose, CO

Separately, Excalibur will acquire:

KNDX FOX Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
KXND* FOX Minot-Bismarck-Dickinson, ND
