It wasn't your typical Sunday night in Hastings. A 32 year-old man is in custody after firing several shots during an argument at the north Burger King.
That suspect is Clinton Mohlman. He's now charged with making terrorist threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, disturbing the peace, discharging a firearm within city limits, driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident.
Hastings Police Officers say the scary string of events began around 9:30 Sunday night.
Officials say a group was gathered in the parking lot of Burger King on 14th street. That's when Mohlman threatened a number of those people with a handgun and fired several shots before speeding off.
"We were just enjoying our dinner and they opened the door and we heard the gunshots and my boyfriends like was that fireworks or was that gunshots?" said one witness.
Officals say Mohlman and another man then jumped in an older model dark blue Toyota Camry.
Multiple cars were hit before the suspect crashed into a tree outside of his home at 4-th Street and Kerr Avenue. A swarm of police officers quickly arrived and arrested Mohlman.
He is being held at the Adams County Jail. Hastings Police are continuing their investigation.
