Attorney General Jon Bruning and Governor Heineman are appealing the decision of a district court judge who overturned Heineman's approval of Keystone XL pipeline. And now they're saying they've asked for that appeal to be expedited.

At the Governor's Ag Conference both Governor Heineman and Attorney General Jon Bruning addressed the pipeline project, saying the recent ruling was unconstitutional. But they don't expect the process to get rolling until fall. And for now Nebraska and the entire country are awaiting a decision from President Obama on the controversial pipeline project.

Governor Heineman says the pipeline would have minimal consequences in our state and would allow for greater energy independence.
