The great City of Minneapolis—home to the Golden Gophers of Minnesota...., About 8 hours by car away from here in Hastings and Grand Island.
Some six and a half from Lincoln, and five and a half from Omaha.
Husker fans are ready to travel......
They'll see the Gopher when they get to TCF Bank Stadium for Saturday morning's game against the Golden Gophers ,and there will be plenty of Big Red in the stands cheering for the visiting team.
Of course, this is not new for Husker fans, though two years ago the trip to Minnneapolis was..
Coach Bo Pelini and his players look forward to having those Husker fans there and the coach said he and the team will never take their support for granted.
"We're lucky, we're spoiled to a certain extend, you know our fans travel they go no matter where we go we always have a tremendous showing by our fan base and that's always an advantage, you pull into the opposing stadium and you wee Nebraska red everywerere and the N and it's always a good feeling believe me our guys recognize it and understand it," said Coach Bo Pelini.
Last season at about this time, Bo said the Huskers would have to "run the table" to win the Big 10 Legends division to get to the title game in Indianapolis.
They did. Likely it's the same scenario this year as games with Michigan and Michigan State loom.
First and foremost another win at Minnesota is a must.
