Nebraska fans, just three weeks separate you from opening kickoff, 2013. That's when the Wyoming Cowboys come galloping into Memorial Stadium for a 7:00 kickoff against the Big Red August 31st. Fans are getting psyched up here at the Nebraska bookstore on campus as classes will soon begin for the new semester. Optimism runs high for coach Bo Pelini's team as the Huskers take aim at that elusive Big Ten Championship. Shirts, hats and other souvenirs are in demand and will be flying off the shelves soon. You can see and feel the excitement building in the Capital City. "This is an annual family trek from Omaha to Lincoln about 20 of us come down every year to go shopping right before the games start every year so it's awesome," said Omaha Husker fan Jean Douchey. News 5: How do you think coach Pelini and the squad will do this year? "Pretty good, is what I think cause last year, oh, you should have heard my dad yell at the TV at Martinez," said Missouri Husker fan Daniel Hope. Coach Pelini concluded the first week of practice here at the stadium sending the squad through the first day of two a day practices. He'll have those three weeks to decide his lineup while Wyoming is doing the same thing out west a few hundred miles. "Here in camp we have a lot of work to do, the guys have the day off tomorrow and the key is rest. They have to get off their feet, be smart about it and rest because we have plenty of work ahead of us," said Pelini. No doubt coach Pelini and his squad can't wait to get back into the win column after losing the final two games of last season. The Huskers were 10–4 in 2012 and are one of just four division one programs to win 9 games or more the past four seasons.
