If the Huskers are to break their five year drought of not making the NCAA Tournament, a game like tonight against the Kansas State Wildcats is pretty close to a must win... Let's go to Haymarket Park for the first of a five game home stand.
Coach Darin Erstad looks on as Kansas State led 4-0 in the first.
However, Michael Prichard came thru with a basehit to drive in Ryan Boldt and it was 4-1.
Later in the inning, Pat Kelly skies to shallow right.
Jake Platsek is on 3rd. He tags and runs plateward.
He slides in just under the tag and its 4-2
We fast forward to the 3rd, Pat Kelly up again, this time he singles to right, a run scores to make it 4-3. The Huskers would tie the score at 4 here in the 3rd.
We move to the 5th, Nebraska up 6-5. Tanner Lubach at the plate.
Tanner gets a hold of one driving it over the wall, the Huskers led 8-5 and they roll to a 14-5 win breaking a five game losing streak to the Wildcats.
