You could say the Huskers spent Black Friday shopping for a win... and went home empty handed.

Now... the story could be Bo Pelini's future as the Big Red's head coach.
Sports Director Ed Littler joins us now with a look at today's game.

Ed... not a good day for Nebraska fans.
Not at all Colin.
This afternoon marked the third annual Heroes Game... and the Huskers were hoping to make it three for three.
Iowa though had different plans.

Let's go out to Memorial Stadium for some of the highlights.

2nd half, down 17-10 the Huskers try a fake punt, but Grand Island's Sam Foltz is stopped by Giltner's Drew Ott and a Hawkeye teammate. Iowa took over on the Husker 25.
Jake Rudock wastes no time in looking for Kavante Martin-Manley for a 25 yard score, the Hawkeyes led 24-10.
The Huskers cut it to 24-17 early in the fourth as Ron Kellogg hits Quincy Enunwa on a 15 yard touchdown pass on 4th down, but the Huskers were able to get no closer as the Hawkeyes defeat the Huskers 38-17.
After the game... here's what Coach Bo Pelini said about the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he received in the game which led to a 2nd half Iowa Field goal.

So, 38-17, Iowa.
In all likelihood... the Huskers will fall to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, Arizona.
Their opponent would be from the Big 12 maybe Kansas State.
We'll have much from today's game at Six.
