The Big Ten is down. That's been the constant narrative surrounding the Conference the last few years. And one of the reasons the pundits subscribe to the school of thought might be the dearth of talent among the skill positions.
However, that's not an issue at all for Nebraska this season returning perhaps the most prolific trio in the conference between Kenny Bell, Ameer Abdullah and Taylor Martinez. And while their their play will fill most of the highlights it'll be the big uglies up front that make them look pretty. A veteran unit that also has some young guns like St. Cecilia grad Zach Sturrup pushing for time.
"We're not the finished product by any means. We have some options but the main thing with those young guys is consistency. And the all have the tools and they are showing it at times but it's got to be a consistent thing. An every down type of thing," said Coach Bo Pelini.
