It's still ugly... even 3 days later. 602 total yards; 383 coming through the air surrendered by the Huskers defense on Saturday against Wyoming. And while yet another poor performance by the Blackshirts grabs all the headlines, the vaunted offense didn't particularly shine either. Now when you score 37 points and have two backs go over 100 yards, it's not exactly a disappointment, but for a unit touted all off season as one with the ability to be one of the best in school history the offense didn't wow like many expected. So, Bo, how do you think your offense played? "Not well. Not as well as we should have. At times we were really good. At times we didn't finish blocks the way we needed to finish blocks. We're capable of a lot more. We made a lot of mistakes. A lot of mistakes that hurt us," said Coach Pelini. "We played, I think a little sloppy in the beginning. I don't really think that we got in a rhythm. We just got to keep on practicing and learning how to play together as an offense so I think we will be perfectly fine," said quarterback Taylor Martinez. "We control everything that went on our there. We definitely have a long way to go to be a great team that we want to be. But it's right there in our reach and it's just going to come down to paying the price during the week and just keep moving forward because we have a chance to be a really really good football team. But it's not just going to happen. It's going to be with a lot of hard work," Jeremiah Sirles said.
If the election was today, who would you vote for Grand Island mayor?
