James O Eggleston

James Oliver “Jim” Eggleston, 82 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska. Jim was born December 12, 1931 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Theodore and Marie (Oxford) Eggleston.

On December 21, 1973, Jim was united in marriage to Patsy Nutzman in Lexington, Nebraska, where they resided until they retired to Alma in 1999 and later he and Pat moved to Orleans.

Jim leaves to mourn his passing; his wife, Pat Eggleston of Orleans; his son, Chuck Eggleston his wife, Jean, and their seven children; his daughter, Kathy Burke and her husband, Gary and their two children; son, Stanley Nutzman; daughter, Annette Lehner her husband, Bill and their three children; daughter, Vickie Mattlet her husband, Stewart and their two children; daughter, Sandra Stoelting and her friend, Bobby Coffey and her two children; daughter, Laura Jogensen her husband. Denzel and their three children; and son, Mark Nutzman and his wife, Amanda and their two children; 18 great-grandchildren; in addition he is survived by his brother, Alan Eggleston and his wife, Jean; sister, Elaine Jessup and her husband, Howard; sister, Edna Ross and her husband, Merle; brother, Frank Eggleston and wife, Vickie; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and his beloved cat, Billy Boy.

Per Jim’s request no visitation or funeral service will be held.

Family and Friends will gather in remembrance of Jim on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at his daughter’s residence at 222 South Orleans Ave.; Orleans, Nebraska.

A memorial has been established in Jim’s honor and will be designated at a later date.
