Accused murder Nikko Jenkins wants a judge to decide his fate in the deaths of four Omaha residents rather than a jury.
Jenkins called the staff of Douglas county judge Peter Bataillon earlier this week to request a hearing. Last week, Batailloon granted Jenkins' request to represent himself during his trial.
He wants to waive his right to a jury trial and have the judge set a date for a bench trial. A hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday.
Jenkins is accused of killing four people in Omaha last August shortly after his release from prison.
