June D. Koeppe, 83, of Kearney, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Home Keens Memorial in Kearney. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Kearney. Father Christopher Morris will officiate and burial will follow at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. A Trisagion Prayer Service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Ft. Kearny Genealogical Society or the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. June was born on June 8, 1930 in Bath, Maine to James F. and Freda (Keefe) Dunton. She attended high school in Bath and then earned a Bachelor’s degree in 1958 from Colorado State University in Greeley, CO. June served her country as a member of the Women’s Air Force during the Korean War. She married Louis R. Koeppe on October 31, 1953 in Boerne, TX. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Ft. Kearny Genealogical Society. June was also a member St. George Orthodox Church in Kearney. 

Surviving relatives include her sons, L. Reed and Lori Koeppe of Kearney, Frederick Koeppe of Omaha and Konrad and Kathy Koeppe of Kearney; Grandchildren, Ana Koeppe of Kearney and Alex Koeppe of Omaha, Ben Koeppe of Omaha, Hannah Koeppe of Hastings; Sister in Law, Edith Farm of Farmington, NM. 

June was preceded in death by her Husband, Louis; 1 Sister and her Step Mother.
