In Collegiate Athletics, there's the director's cup. In Nebraska high school sports, it's The U.S. Cellular Cup that determines the state's most successful athletic programs. And this year, a central Nebraska school aren't just stars, they're the best.
The NSAA announced the final standings for the Cup Monday and sitting atop Class C? Kearney Catholic. The Stars racking up 370 Cup points beating out second place Columbus Scotus by just under 40 points.
GICC came in fourth with a total of 285. Surprisingly, in the girl's division
KC comes in second to Scotus despite dominating in basketball, track and volleyball.
