Kids at Buffalo Hill Elementary learned a valuable lesson today: if you raise $2,000 for charity you get to toss a pie off your teacher's face.

Buffalo Hill's Penny War concluded today.

Students have been clearing out their piggy banks to see who can raise the most money for Make A Wish Foundation.

The top class pied their teacher in the face.

As a whole the school raised 2 thousand dollars.

The school was rewarded with a 1 thousand dollar donation from Nebraskaland Bank for their playground project.

Mr. Waggoner's 4th grade class won with over 570 dollars.

But he wasn't feeling too victorious today.

"Some of them throw hard. They're not nice," he said.  "I think a couple of them said, this is for math class. So they definitely took it out on me."

The fund just started at the beginning of this week.
