Keystone XL Pipeline Opponents Collecting Signatures

Opponents of the Keystone XL pipeline are marching across the state collecting signatures to give to Governor Dave Heineman.
Dozens of marchers with the Great March for Climate Action are collaborating with Bold Nebraska to push for greater transparency of oil companies.

In two days they've collected over 1,000 signatures. The petition calls on Governor Heineman to push oil companies to disclose on a public website details on the amount and type of oil traveling by rail through the state. And, a list of all chemicals mixed with the oil.

The marchers are currently in Holdrege, before stopping in Kearney and Grand Island in the next few days. They will be in Lincoln on July 24th.
