Three Hall County high schools took part in yesterday's "Kick Butts Day" sponsored by Tobacco Free Hall County. At Doniphan-Trumbull, students put on a health fair to educate elementary students about the dangers of tobacco use and exposure.

Also as part of Kick Butts Day, Grand Island Senior High students created a public service video about the dangers of smoking and Heartland Lutheran students built a clothesline project with tobacco facts and messages to tobacco companies.

More than 2,000 events were held across the country as part of the day. The initiative started in 1995.
