Kearney resident, Linda M. Brennfoerder, 68, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Juniata, Nebraska. 

Services will be Thursday, December 5, 2013; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be Thursday, December 5, 2013; 2:00 P.M. in Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Linda M. Brennfoerder Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013; 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. 

Linda was born May 21, 1945 in Superior, Nebraska to Ernest W. & Rosemary (Hakanson) Brennfoerder. She was raised on a farm outside of Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1963. Linda was a member of The Willard Sorority at Nebraska Wesleyan, Lincoln, and graduated in 1967 where she received her Bachelor’s of Education Degree. She was an elementary teacher at York, Columbus and Kearney Public Schools where she later retired. Linda was a member of First Lutheran Church in Kearney, Nebraska State Education Association, and ADK. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William E. Brennfoerder; and sister, Mary B. Sykes.
